We recommend that anyone under 50kg ride our 28” Cruisers and Surf Skates. If you are over 50 kg, then any of our 31” Cruisers, Surf Skates, and Longboards will be better suited for you. When you are under 50 kg, it is harder to disperse your weight on a bigger board to turn or carve, so that's why we suggest 28” boards.

Looking for a board for kids learning to skate? Our 28” Cruisers have super soft wheels for rolling over bumps and cracks and are nice and stable to learn on. Even if they are rolling around on their knees or holding your hand while cruising, they are still going to have lots of fun. There will also be a lot of room for little Suzzie to grow into her board.

If you are an adult looking for a board to learn on, you can definitely ride our 28" cruisers although our 31” Cruisers and 38” Longboards are a little easier to ride. Learning to ride a skateboard is a lot like surfing. When you have surf lessons, the coach’s will start you off on a longboard, as they are nice and stable to paddle and stand up on. This is the same with riding a skateboard. The bigger the board, the bigger the wheels, and the wider the trucks. This allows for a more stable ride.

If you are a surfer looking to have some fun on those flat days or to perfect your style, then we recommend our 28” Grom models for anyone under 50kg, our 31” Surf Skates for bigger kids and adults over 50kg, or our 33” Surf Skates for anyone over 80kg looking for a nice big board with heaps of drive.

You can purchase our boards online and just choose the pick up option. When we have packed your order, you will receive a pick up notification to let you know that your board is ready to be picked up from our warehouse in Burleigh Heads on the Gold coast.

When our boards are assembled we use impact wrench's or rattle guns to tighten the wheel nuts. This helps us guarantee a consistent tension across all boards in the assembly process. If one of your wheels does not spin freely it means that it may have been overtightened. To fix this, simply loosen the wheel nut with a T Tool or wrench about a quarter of a turn. This will enable the weheel to spin freely.

All skateboards and accessories purchased from OBfive are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, exposure or extensive use. With 1000's of boards sold over the last 14 years we can honestly say that we never get boards back. We use high quality decks, wheels and components and our trucks are tough as. The only time boards come back to us is if they get ran over by a car (Which is not covered under warranty 😉)
